Hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, niacinamide at 10% and a peptide moisturiser.
Most skincare routines fail from too many actives, not too few. If you are already using a prescription retinoid, what your skin needs beside it is water and repair — not a second ingredient competing for the same real estate. Hyaluronic acid serum and a peptide moisturiser handle hydration and barrier support; niacinamide serum addresses texture and visible pores; vitamin C serum belongs in the morning routine.
Chosen to layer under a prescription, by the people who write them.
What order should these go in?
Thinnest to thickest — serums before moisturisers. Vitamin C serum is conventionally used in the morning and retinoids at night. Where a prescription is involved, follow your provider’s instructions over anything printed on a bottle.
